They terminated our daughters contract without notice leaving us without daycare. They meddle in non daycare issues of the parents. They told us that our daughters termination had nothing to do with her. They said it was my wife. For clarification, I'll summarize. My wife employed the younger daughter at a nursing facility, not knowing the the final outcome would be her quitting. Apparently one of them held a grudge against my wife for her quitting. The mother said her daughter was bullied and abused. Which was clearly not the case. First, the daughters nursing job has ZERO to do with the care of my daughter. They entangled multiple facets of their lives. Second, This was clearly not the case! My wife was her biggest champion. She listened to all her complaints and addressing them on a daily basis. She tried to help steer her in a positive direction at work. After she quit my wife let her take her CNA test for free. We stayed at our daycare when others chose to leave. They waited 3-4 months after her employment ended at the nursing facility to terminate our kid and Without cause. Claiming my wife violated their safety, and claiming harassment against my wife. They told me the contract stated if they felt in immediate danger, they could terminate the agreement without notice. That statement is absurd. How does one feel in danger by a parent picking up their child and asking how their day went. It shows the unprofessional and immaturity level of a few people at this facility. Imagine picking up your kid, and asking how their day was and the owner saying "Tommorow will be their last day,". For reasons unrelated to daycare. Completely discriminatory and unprofessional.
Not to mention other things. They wanted to terminate our daughters care prior because a 18 month old didnt lay still or sleep at the exact time they wanted her to sleep. Forcing children to lay still and not speak for two hours straight. I just looked up the state statue, and children under 3 are not allowed to be forced to sleep or rest. It must be at their discretion and with a plan set forth by the parents. Now that I know they were breaking the law, I'll be filing a formal complaint with the state.
State statue
2)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Infants and toddlers shall be allowed to rest or sleep according to each child's individual pattern, as determined in consultation with parents.
Â
3)        Children 3 years of age and older (until they are enrolled in kindergarten) generally shall not nap for more than 2 hours or rest without sleeping for more than 60 minutes. Children in this age group who do not sleep may be permitted to get up and shall be helped to have a quiet time with equipment or activities that will not disturb the napping children. When children are allowed to get up, the staff to child ratio shall comply with Section 407.190(a).
Multiple times my wife or I would show up and they'd have all the kids at the table and our child across th room by herself. Not included in the group activities.
The irony of all this is when we signed up they promoted Family, & Christian, values. They had a clean facility. Our eyes have been opened to the reality of this place. This was a terrible experience.
We will be seeking damages. Hopefully these things wont happen to another family.
