Four Reasons Why Your Child Doesn’t Like Reading

Reading more books is very helpful for children’s intellectual development and knowledge reserves. For this reason, parents have been trying hard to cultivate children’s reading habits. However, many children do not like reading, and some cry when they read a book. Why is this? In fact, the reasons why children do not want to read is as follows.
1. Storytelling is not lively and unattainable
Children are strongly sensitive to external things. Parents tell stories to their children just to be perfunctory. They don’t really tell stories to children. He can feel it. His hearing was stronger than reading before the eighth grade of the child, and it was not until the eighth grade that the two reached equilibrium. Therefore, when parents tell stories with their children, they must not be perfunctory. The children’s reading ability is gradually improved when they listen to stories from their parents. In the child’s growing up process, chatting with the child constantly, no matter what is the conversation, is helpful to the child’s language expression ability and thinking ability.
2. Urgent to utilitarian
Many parents always ask for the meaning of telling stories after reading. In fact, for children, they can only understand the story and do not know the meaning of the story. In fact, sometimes parents do not understand what the story is trying to say. Meaning, not to mention children? So the most important thing is to make children like to read and let them experience the pleasure of reading.
Too eager for quick success, it is likely to have an opposite effect. Do not allow children to recite these long articles, but to allow children to read happily.
3. Forced reading
Many times, the parents buy a lot of books, but the children do not actually read them, so some parents began to hurry to force children to read. A child does not know what a book is and naturally cannot read it. Naturally, he or she does not enjoy reading books. Parents should allow their children to continue reading and show their children interesting language in vivid language. Actually, those children who have loved reading started to touch books in the past few months and even used the books as their own toys. Unconsciously, they experienced the joy of learning from books. Then they begin to like reading.
4. The pursuit of the number
The parents buy a lot of books in order to let children develop the habit of reading, but in fact, such behavior will leave the child with the wrong impression: the book is just an ornament bought by your mom and dad. Children actually like to listen to a story repeatedly, because then they can deepen the impression, and then continue to absorb the knowledge in the story, and then begin to integrate.
Therefore, parents should read with their children and become familiar with books, so that children can begin to understand the fun of books.
